State Members are the actual states that pay membership dues to be affiliated with STRIMA. Deputy Members are usually the heads of the organizational units of the dues-paying states directly charged with risk management or insurance procurement functions. The heads of those offices can assign a Deputy Membership status to their principal assistant. Not more than three officials from each state may serve in a deputy membership capacity. Only Deputy Members have the right to become Board members and given the right to vote. No state is entitled to more than one (1) vote or two (2) Board positions at a time. State members may become ex‑officio Deputy Members upon retirement.
